Meet Your Therapist

Ember Path Therapy was created to offer a thoughtful, grounded, and compassionate space where adolescents and adults can explore challenges with honesty, clarity, and support. Jessica Hill is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with 12 years of experience in her field and 10 years of clinical practice working with adolescents, adults, and families across diverse and complex treatment settings. Jessica earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Michigan State University in 2016, following a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Eastern Michigan University and an Associate in Arts degree from Washtenaw Community College. Throughout her career, Jessica has provided services within hospital systems, nonprofit organizations, crisis residential units, judicial and court-related settings, community mental health programs, supportive and community-focused programs, and home-based therapeutic environments. Her professional background includes crisis intervention, community outreach, care coordination, psychiatric assessment support, and intensive therapeutic work with individuals navigating significant emotional and psychological distress. Her clinical experience includes working with: - Adolescents, adults, and older adults - Individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and mood disorders - Serious and persistent mental illness - Personality disorders - Survivors of emotional, physical, and sexual abuse - Survivors of domestic violence - Children diagnosed with developmental disabilities - Individuals experiencing suicidal crisis and acute emotional distress - Families navigating relational conflict and instability - Low socioeconomic and underserved populations - Child welfare–involved families - Justice-involved individuals and felons Jessica has extensive experience supporting individuals in moments of crisis, including de-escalating suicidal individuals, conducting crisis evaluations, supporting psychiatric hospitalization assessments, and preparing clinical petitions when higher levels of care were necessary. At the core of Jessica’s work is the belief that healing is not about perfection, but about developing greater self-understanding, emotional resilience, and the ability to move through life with intention rather than survival alone.
